Growing up in a family with strong ties to the field of healthcare Beau Schultz figured out at a pretty early age that he would like to go into the field of anesthesia. He graduated from high school a year early to pursue his career. He joined the United States Coast Guard Reserve at the age of 17 while simultaneously beginning his path towards obtaining a nursing degree. He served in the military for 11 years while he obtained his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio University and worked as an RN. He obtained his Masters in Science and Nursing from St. Elizabeth School for Nurse Anesthetists in 2019 and became a CRNA.
His training in the military and in high acuity medical units gives him the comfort to tackle any and all emergent situations with a level head and a steady hand. He is living out his dream working as a partner with Elite Anesthesia Professionals and having the opportunity to serve such a diverse group of patients in offices and hospitals all over the the midwest.
Beau has been married to his loving wife and best friend since 2014 and has two golden retrievers named Ruby Sue and Scarlet. His hobbies include DJ-ing local clubs on the weekends and losing as many balls as humanly possible on the golf course. He also believes he is very fortunate to have found a career that he is excited about. Going to work is not work for him as he geniunly believes he has found his true calling providing safe anesthesia to his patients.
Clay Roush, CRNA, brings over a decade of experience in anesthesia care and leadership, along with more than 20 years in healthcare overall. As a long-standing Chief CRNA and Regional Lead CRNA across multiple sites, he has played a key role in anesthesia management, operational development, and team leadership in both hospital and ambulatory settings.
Clay earned his Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia from Wolford College and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Since beginning his healthcare career in 2004, he has developed extensive experience optimizing anesthesia services, supporting clinical teams, and improving efficiency and reliability across a range of care environments. Over the years, he has worked closely with and supported more than 120 CRNAs, helping maintain high standards of patient care and clinical performance.
In his role as a Strategic Advisor to Elite Anesthesia Professionals, Clay supports the organization with business development, market insight, and operational strategy as it expands anesthesia services into office-based settings. Drawing on his background in anesthesia leadership, he helps practices and surgical teams think through how sedation and anesthesia can be delivered safely, efficiently, and in a way that aligns with evolving patient expectations. As he often notes, “Patients used to ask, ‘Do I really need anesthesia for this procedure?’ Now they’re asking, ‘Do I need to be awake for the IV placement?’” Elite Anesthesia Professionals is focused on helping practices respond to that shift while maintaining high clinical standards and simplicity for providers.
Outside of work, Clay is a devoted husband to his wife, Lexxi, whom he married in 2011, and a proud father to two children. When he’s not advising practices or supporting anesthesia teams, he enjoys spending time with his family — a role he considers his most meaningful. His approach to both work and life reflects a steady focus on balance, trust, and long-term relationships.
Derek Hartman began his healthcare journey in 2012 at St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, WV, and later earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from Marshall University in 2020. Since then, he has dedicated his career to delivering safe, compassionate anesthesia care.
He believes patients should always be at the center of every decision, striving to make each person feel comfortable, supported, and treated like family. As a co-founder of Elite Anesthesia Professionals (EAP), Derek helped build the company to meet the growing need for safe anesthesia in office-based settings. What makes EAP unique, in his view, is its ability to customize anesthetics to each provider’s practice while ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient comfort.
Outside of work, Derek enjoys coaching his two children in sports and values the lessons of teamwork and discipline that athletics provide. Married to his wife, Brooke, since 2011, he treasures family life and traveling together whenever possible. For Derek, being a devoted husband and father is a daily source of motivation, and the values of family, compassion, and commitment guide the way he practices anesthesia.
